A tooltip is a hovering label used to explain a user interface element or filename. In Standards, the tooltip can function as actionable or non-actionable. A tooltip could link to a URL, another page in the project or download a file.

Add a tooltip to an image

  1. Click on the + (Add Content) icon, upload or select your preferred media.
  2. Double click on the image to isolate it.
  3. Two buttons will appear below the image, Link or Hover. Click on Hover
  4. Click on Show tooltip
  5. The text that appears in the box will be the uploaded filename. You can rename the text by deleting the previous text and entering in preferred descriptors, titles or modifiers.
  6. Hover your mouse over the image and your new tooltip will appear.
