It’s common to distinguish different sections by using impactful layouts between major chunks of content. These section dividers are often custom-designed to fit each project, but once a layout is defined, it is typically repeated throughout a document with only slight variations to style and content.
Above, we’re using a Section Component built to include a title and a background color. Designed to accommodate various lengths of text, the placement and alignment of title and subtitles should stay consistent.
We can now make overrides to our Sections in-context by directly editing the text or changing the background fill. Any overrides made to instances of the Section component won’t be updated automatically until they’re reset, but global edits can still be made to settings that haven’t been changed. This ensures design consistency without undoing design work done via overrides.
