A tooltip is a hovering label used to explain a user interface element or filename. In Standards, the tooltip can function as actionable or non-actionable. A tooltip could link to a URL, another page in the project or download a file.
In this guide:
Add a tooltip to an image
- Within the project editor, select media.
- Double click on the image to isolate it.
- Two buttons will appear near the media,

. Select Hover
- Select
Show tooltip
- The text that appears in the box will be the uploaded filename by default. You can rename the text by deleting the previous text and entering in preferred descriptors, titles or modifiers.
- Hover your mouse over the image and your new tooltip will appear.
- To remove a tooltip, select the media, then select
Remove
Add a tooltip to color Automation
- Select color Automation (select palette, proportion, Albers’ proportion, combination, contrast, don’ts in Automations.)
- Two buttons will appear near the media,

Color details
- Add in the HEX code of the color or enter any additional information in the text box.
- Hover your mouse over the color Automation and the tooltip will appear.
- To remove a tooltip, select the media, then select

- Within the project editor, select the Styles section of the right sidebar.
- Under the Tooltip grouping, select the tooltip list item
- Edit the tooltip styling using spacing, text, text color, background fill, corner radius and stroke.
Delete tooltip
- Within the project editor, select the Styles section of the right sidebar.
- Under the Tooltip grouping, select the three-dot icon. In the menu select on
Delete
.
