Step 1

After logging in to Namecheap, click on Domain List, find your domain, and select Manage

Select Advanced DNS

Select Add New Record

Step 4

Choose CNAME Record as the Type, for base domains, such as (mydomain.com), enter the name:

_acme-challenge

For subdomains, such as (identity.mydomain.com), enter the name:

_acme-challenge.identity

where “identity” is whatever you choose. Paste the value from Standards record 1 into the value field.

Step 5

Select the checkmark icon ✔️

Step 6

In Standards, head to Domains . Click Record 2 and copy the A record value.

Step 7

In Namecheap, select Add New Record

Step 8

For base domains, such as (mydomain.com), enter @ in the Name field. For subdomains, such as (identity.mydomain.com), enter the subdomain portion (identity). Enter the value ****from Step 6 into the Value field. Click the checkmark icon ✔️.

Step 9

Wait for the domain to connect. Once connected, publish your project.
